Nearly 81% of Americans are overweight and 31% of these overweight people are considered to be obese. We've all heard the reasons (stereotypes) for why this is the case: Americans are lazy, don't exercise, and love fast food. It could be that so many Americans are overweight because these stereotypes are true, but is there something else at play as well?
