The Places You'll Go Bulletin Board "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." -Dr. Suess
As an alternative to a book report, have a "The Places You'll Go" bulletin board. Instead of having the students write a full book report, have them draw a picture of the setting with a brief description on the back. Then, post the students drawings in the classroom as the places they have been in the books they have read.
Also, depending on the classroom, you could use this to encourage reading in the classroom rather than a classroom assignment. Add an extra incentive such as points or demerits for how many "places" the students go.
