      This article is committed to the view that the only way for Indigenous people to attain dignity and recover socially is to join the great industrial complex that is damaging our planet and our future. Although I can see education's value in providing skills for national people to perform needed modern tasks in rural communities, I believe that caution must be exercised not to buy into continual exploitation and expansion, when there is so much to recover in living well without so much "abundance".
