This is one of my favorite slam poets. I have watched this one for a while, but analyzing it after I've taken this class, it is clear how many references and actual headlines he has taken from history, and how his art is simply a reflection upon what is and what has happened. So it's not original, it has its base, but it's beautiful art that is new and unique and important. An interesting controversy

"It's the best way to track legislation in the US Congress and get the real story about what's happening."
The similarities drawn between Pocahontas and Avatar on video - there has been a lot of criticism that they are the same story, and therefore, there is nothing new: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uGOCodaM4UM
A little less about remixing, a little more about the incredible nature of mixing in general - this kind of virtual choir reminds me of the way they describe the reggae music coming together from different instruments in different locations: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WhWDCw3Mng&ob=av2e
