This video compares the choreography in a 2008 Timi Papp video to Beyonce's choreography in 2011.  There has been a lot of debate about her video.  Would you consider this plagiarism or creative expansion of an idea?

The Indie rock group, Wild Flag has had a huge year both before and after the release of their self titled debut album. This interview with the band gives some insight into singer/guitarist Carrie Brownstein's songwriting process. She, unexpectedly, acknowledges Rihanna as an influence on the songs off the album. She tells Rolling Stone, "The melody for Romance, I came up with after a day of listening to Rihanna and Beyonce and then filtering it through my messed up post-punk filter."
