The Peer 2 Peer University (P2PU) is an online community of open study groups for short university-level courses. Think of it as online book clubs for open educational resources. The P2PU helps you navigate the wealth of open education materials that are out there, creates small groups of motivated learners, and supports the design and facilitation of courses. Students and tutors get recognition for their work, and we are building pathways to formal credit as well.

Headmagnet creates a model of what's going on in your head. It predicts what memories have faded away, and what memories are still inside, allowing you to quickly get things in your head and keep them there. The more you use headmagnet, the better it gets at modeling what goes on in your head.

The best app I have seen for creating digital stories with photos in the gallery and adding narration. Easier to use than Photostory on a Windows computer. Limited in sharing product.

Effective vocabulary instruction requires active and positive student participation. In addition, familiarity with high-frequency affixes and roots promotes comprehension of numerous words in which they occur as meaningful chunks. In this online activity, students flip two chips to mix and match four word parts and make four words. Students then insert the four words into a paragraph, using context clues to determine where each word belongs. After each exercise, students can print their work to check whether they placed the four words in the paragraph correctly.

In only one year the Apple iPad has revolutionized the tech industry. 15 Million iPads have been sold and estimates are that within the next 3 years over 115 million tablets will be shipped. Dozens if not hundreds of applications have been created that enhance the quality of life for individuals with all types of disabilities. This has lead Apple to create a special education section in the App Store.

Some people seem to learn the hidden curriculum almost automatically. Others learn it only by direct instruction. This includes children with autism spectrum disorders. These real-life based entries spur conversations about the countless "unwritten social rules" that we encounter every day and that can cause confusion and anxiety.
