Blog | Bonne Vie - 2 views

Hi!  My name is Shawna Bird, but everyone calls me 'Birdie".  I am the "Girl on the Go", a citizen of the world, and the author of Bonne Vie.  I live in Seattle (the Emerald City) and I have my fingers in many pies, including writing, photography, art, music, and business.  I enjoy the process of learning and growing.  I read a lot of books.  I'm always looking for ways to become more productive, to streamline, to innovate, and to shake things up.  I really enjoy writing about fashion and style, beauty, lifestyle tips and events in my area.

Hi there! I started blogging in 2009 as a way to document my outfits and other lovely things that I'm into. I'm a buyer for Modcloth living in Los Angeles. I used to be a designer and on occasion still design and make clothes for myself. Shoot me an email if you'd like to chit-chat!

I'm your average, every day kind of girl (how cliche, I know). My life is unremarkable, but I do my best to make it otherwise. I'm an undergraduate student that resides in Toronto (aka the best city ever!), and I fuel my educational path with my dedication towards and passion for environmentalism. I often put loads of stress on myself as I find that keeps my life exciting and myself productive. If you want to get to know me better please follow me on Tumblr  (my primary blog) [: Thanks for stopping by. <3 PS. If  you want to contact me please visit my Social Networks page or email me at rawrmanifesto@gmail.com :)

This blog is a sort of outfit diary. I wear a UK size 16/18, which makes my blogging of everyday fashion different from the type of fashion-blogs or outfit-of-the-day-blogs vastly covered in the media and other blogs. However, there are a lot more [insert adjective of your choice describing an overweight person] women out there on the net doing just that: showing the world what they wear and how they make fashion work for them.

I am a 24-year-old part-time writing instructor and part-time technical writer. My love of writing led me to blogs, which led me to a wonderful group of women carving a space for themselves on the internet. The fatshion blogging community has opened my eyes to the confidence, power, and joy in embracing yourself as you are. I'm so excited to offer my voice here, whether it ends up being a soft echo or a loud roar. I am interested in all things involving plus-size/fatshion clothing, beauty products, and fat/body acceptance. Please feel free to contact me via twitter or my e-mail to chat

My Thrifted Closet - 1 views

  •
Welcome to "My Thrifted Closet." I am SheRea DelSol, but you can call me SheDel. I am a self-proclaimed thriftshionista (Thrift Fashionista.) I hail from the beautiful St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, but I currently live in Winston-Salem, NC where my love of thrifting began. My style has drastically changed since my high school days and most of the clothes in my closet have been replaced by thrifting in mostly Goodwill or MegaThrift (a thrift store indigenous to Winston Salem, North Carolina.) Thrifting has helped to develop my love of vintage clothes (especially the 80's) with their large shoulder pads and puffy sleeves. I also FULLY embrace bright colors and bold prints. For those of you who don't know, thrifting is the act of purchasing items from  stores that sell items that have been donated, with the proceeds from sales usually benefiting charitable efforts (eHow). Thrifting is more than just a hobby, quite frankly it is not. Thrifting is a lifestyle choice, a fashion movement. In that spirit, I have dedicated this blog and my fashion journey to thrifting. This is "My Thrifted Closet" and I hope you too discover the thriftshionista in you.
