Our mom's family is from Cajun country in Louisiana. Our dad's family is from southern China. Mix the Cajun and the Asian together and you get AsianCajuns! And that's us. Technically we are part Creole and not actually Cajun (our ancestors came from France directly, not via Canada where the actual Cajuns come from), but AsianCreole doesn't have the same ring, does it?

I have always adored the exploration of art. Art in the form of language, music, pictures, paintings, fashion. I believe our bodies are a blank canvas, and the hues are the garments we wear. Now I've created a blog where I can share daily language, poetry, musings, and photographs. I created flying a kite in January 2009. Since then, I have gained so much spirit and so much love! In September 2009, I was invited to New York for a fashion blogger conference. It was the most exceptional thing I've ever been a part of.     Also, To my delight(and surprise) I've been featured in magazines, fashion blogs, and wonderful online communities. This blog has cultivated so many friendships, opportunities, and open windows  My heart sings for my supporters, my family, and my spirit. Thank you.

I'm a 24-year-old fashion marketing grad with a love for sewing, photography, food, and ghost stories. I like dressing up (even when I'm dressed down). I also have a slight obsession with bows and cupcakes. And sometimes shoes.

Welcome to Here&Now, my repository of daily record for the routine and remarkable. When I entered graduate school in August of 2009, I didn't know that I was entering a special sort of time continuum. Somedays I long to be a "college student" once again, while others, I look forward to the day when I am officially a "grown-up". However, for the time being, I am neither, and I have recently decided I am ok with that.

The owner, Jamie Symmonds, grew up in a small town in Western New York.  In 2001, she grew wings flying off to the city of angels, Los Angeles, where she developed a true appreciation for her sense of fashion and style.  She then decided to head back to New York, the big apple, bringing with her LA's fabulous fashions.  Angel to Apple opened in May of 2006 and has continued to grow and evolve, which includes the launching of our new website, which will offer great fashions to women of all ages, everywhere.
