A Fine Fashion Frenzy - 1 views

About Me Angelica. It means bringer of good news. I try to embrace that. Fashion for me is an individual expression of the inner being that you are. It reflects facets of your personality - your favourite movie, the food you enjoy, your favourite singer, the people who you hang out with and what you think about when you're lying in your bed alone at night and staring at the ceiling. One day I hope to work for Teen Vogue. That is my ultimate dream. However, for now I am learning the ropes in the fashion world. Designers, models, styles, clothing, and sewing - the list goes on. Never be afraid to stand out because it shows people that you are unique and not one of the many crowds. I love Taylor Swift. She is my hero and biggest inspiration. I love my Mom because she is everything to me and I get my style from her. Although, most people say I should have been born in the sixties because I rock a good hippie/bohemian outfit. God is my rock. Jesus is my Saviour not my religion. I fell in love with the man who died for me. God is the one person I can always turn to and He'll always be there for me, no matter what. Time, space and distance don't count. I am where I am now because I love Him and He has done so much for me. I continue to walk in His Destiny for me. "For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29vs11 I am originally from Cape Town, South Africa but now living in Sydney, Australia. If you have any questions don't be afraid to drop a question in my ask box. It can even be fashion advice - if you have a piece of clothing and you don't know how to wear it, I can help! Much Love Angelica

A Little Slice of Special - 0 views

This blog has become a cluster eff of all things I love: style, fashion, beauty, inspiring music, and frankly...anything else that sparks my interest and I want to share! I am passionate about animal rights and a vegetarian.  Over the past few years I've really gotten into Vintage everything and I love a good thrift store hunt and find.  I make up words a lot and add cutesy things to the end of normal words that I want to make prettier...also I am easily excitable, unendingly (too) honest and have a ridiculously short attention span. I may or may not be hyperactive. I love a lot of things... I'm a married 20 something and I live in the fine state of Minnesota, in the twin cities to be exact...Randall and I have two awesome kitties, Mr. Wallace and Stevie Beans, a parrotlet named Stella Blue,  and a rescued pomapoo Piper. By day I'm a fiscal policy analyst but on lunch breaks and at night I blog and sometimes I attempt to craft.  I love Dinosaurs, going to museums, and I am a photography addict.

Kilts |Kilts For Men - 1 views

  •
Perhaps nothing is more closely associated with Scotland than the kilt. Now part of the national costume, you will find kilts being worn at everything from weddings to international sports matches. Either worn casually or as part of a full outfit, this recognizable garment is the best way to show off your Scottish heritage. It has been my observation that there are various reasons why someone may decide to wear the kilt, and those reasons will affect our habits and attitudes towards Highland dress. I normally try to avoid sweeping generalizations, but there are some major categories that I believe most kilt wearers fall into. People tend to wear the kilt as a uniform, as heritage dress, as a costume, or as clothing. Most kilt wearers I have met fall into at least one category, and some will identify with more than one. The first category is that of uniform. These people wear the kilt because it is part of the uniform of a group or activity in which they are involved. The most obvious example would be the military uniform of a Highland regiment. Another would be a pipe band. But the kilt could also be a uniform in a less structured sense. If one is involved in Scottish Country Dancing, the kilt is part of the outfit that men are expected to wear. The reason that people in this category wear the kilt is because it is part and parcel of the activity they participate in, be it dancing, piping, or some other endeavor. If you wear the kilt as a uniform you are more than likely going to have a more rigid attitude towards Highland dress. This may actually be imposed upon you by certain dress requirements for competition and performance. This tends to limit the extent of your Highland wardrobe. If the kilt is part of a uniform that you put on while participating in a certain activity, you only need to be flexible within the confines of your uniform requirements. The second category I have named is that of "heritage clothing." By this I mean those who wear the kilt

Looks Good from the Back - 0 views

Marianne I like pretty things and when people look at the camera in fashion blogs. After becoming a mom two+ years ago, my body and style started to change, and so, I am left...struggling. And trying on lots of styles that I wouldn't have touched before, because I don't know what works on my body any more. This leads to sometimes hilarious results, and sometimes surprise successes, all of which I am willing to document and post for your enjoyment. My personal style is undergoing a bit of a sea change at the moment. In the past I've leaned towards whimsy, loving anthropologie, Marc Jacobs, Nanette Lepore. However now I find myself wearing more black, grey, khaki. More structure. Since having a baby I can't abide by flowy dresses or tops because they remind me too much of maternity clothing. I would rather wear something structured even if my stomach is not exactly flat. I still love Marc Jacobs and anthropologie, I just like different styles. I would like to build a forever wardrobe of things I will still want to wear in 10 years. Pleased to meet you!

FROM THE REZ TO THE CITY - 0 views

  •
I have always been in love with fashion but I was born on a Native American reservation where it was not available. Growing up I looked through my mom's fashion magazines for inspiration, then I created outfits with what I had in my closet. When I left the "Rez" and moved to the "City" I went crazy for fashion! If I had to categorize my style, I would call it classically chic with a touch of glam/drama. In an effort to inspire my fellow full-figured women, I decided to share my style through this blog. My goal is to prove that no matter your dress size...you can "ROCK" fashion and look great! I believe the key to great style is finding inspiration, being creative and displaying confidence. I hope you are inspired! Kiah

Frocks & Frou Frou - 0 views

I live in Australia's fashion capital, and my favourite thing is to be asked "Where did you get THAT?". I have a penchant for silly shoes, and beautiful bags. I spend vast quantities of time shopping for clothes, but when it's time to get dressed in the morning, I invariably have nothing to wear. I sell books, and think publishing is the best industry in the world to work in (because no-one makes any money in books, everyone who works with them is doing it out of love). I come from a large family, and though I live in a different city, I'm still comfortably entangled in my Mum's apron strings. I have an almost infallible sense of direction (inherited from my Dad, and what the family refers to as our "bump") and a completely fallible sense of balance. I prefer Operas that end in weddings, to those that end in funerals, and I have a secret stash of romance novels that I'm horribly embarassed about.

The inner workings of my mind. - 0 views

Hello, my name Is Abbie Espinosa.Thoughts run trough my mind all the time, though I prefer to express them trough writing. One thing I will always be in love with is Music and Trees. Society will judge me based on what they think they know about me. How I look, what I like, what I listen to, what I watch; those things do not make up the person that I am. How I treat others, how I treat myself, what I do for the well being of others is what makes ME.

I Just Might Explode - 0 views

  •
Hello there! My name is Kara Haupt and I Just Might Explode is my personal blog. In it you'll find a combination of adventures, people who inspire me, school projects, photographs, and confusing DIYS. I live in a tiny apartment in Portland, Oregon with my childhood best friend, Stephanie and our mischievous kitten Pip. Here is a recent family photo… I'm 20 years old. I call myself a blogger, designer, photographer, online shop owner, online art journaling/scrapbooking/photography teacher, etc…  I'm a contributing writer for A Beautiful Mess, an intern at Passionfruit Ads, and online assistant for Indie & Chic. I also pretend to be charming at a retail job a few days a week. Please send me coffee. Back story: I've grew up in Boise, Idaho and then moved to Brooklyn, New York for art school in 2010. You can read about some of those adventures here. I then changed my mind and decided to take off a semester of school and move to Portland, Oregon with my best friend at the beginning of 2012. I'm a firm believer that evolving and changing your mind and following your dreams is the best way to live.  I currently go to an art school for Communication Design. I have an online shop called Stuff Kara Made. I opened it in November 2011 with my first tee shirt line. I make tees, hand-stitched pullovers, and journals.

Welcome to Here&Now, my repository of daily record for the routine and remarkable. When I entered graduate school in August of 2009, I didn't know that I was entering a special sort of time continuum. Somedays I long to be a "college student" once again, while others, I look forward to the day when I am officially a "grown-up". However, for the time being, I am neither, and I have recently decided I am ok with that.

Fly Through Our Window - the account of our nest - 0 views

My name is Darby. I am a  wife and the mother of three young children and this is my blog. I love old houses, photography, renovating, interior design, sewing, flea markets, cooking,  baking, Diet Coke, Twizzlers, and eating dinner outside. I have a twin sister, whom I love living not too far from. She is an extremely talented designer and blogs HERE. Just a little reminder: this a blog, not a real life account, but merely a tiny glimpse into our lives. We don't sit around craft, bake and smile for pictures all day long. We do strive to glorify God but fail miserably and recognize our deep need of a Savior. What comfort we find in knowing that our debts have been paid and we have been set free. I also always love to hear from those who are reading and do my best to answer any questions I get via email. I consider each correspondence a blessing, but unfortunately can't always find the extra hours in the day to respond to each one, but I do my best: darby@flythroughourwindow.com.

love the internet, crafting, fashion, and technology. I created this blog to share some things I create or love that include (but are not limited to): viral video's, life hacking, crafting, beauty, DIY projects, and general nerdy things that sparkle. I know it's a lot, but I'm a complicated B0t. This year I've made it a goal to create a dress a month, which I hope you enjoy and get some inspiration from. I also do Monday Manicures because I love polishing my nails. This site will evolve as I do and I hope you enjoy watching it grow.

♥ flying a kite ♫: contact me - 0 views

Yours truly, I'm Amy. Snowflakes fell on December 13 1992, and I was born a winter baby. Time has been caught by the wind, and 19 years have sailed by.  Now, I am an art-thirsty girl caught by my dreams.  ---------------------------------------------------------------- I have always adored the exploration of art. Art in the form of language, music, pictures, paintings, fashion. I believe our bodies are a blank canvas, and the hues are the garments we wear. Now I've created a blog where I can share daily language, poetry, musings, and photographs. I created flying a kite in January 2009. Since then, I have gained so much spirit and so much love! In September 2009, I was invited to New York for a fashion blogger conference. It was the most exceptional thing I've ever been a part of.     Also, To my delight(and surprise) I've been featured in magazines, fashion blogs, and wonderful online communities. This blog has cultivated so many friendships, opportunities, and open windows  My heart sings for my supporters, my family, and my spirit. Thank you.

Et tu, tutu? - 0 views

  •
Bonjour! Je m'appelle Lindsey. I speak French, although not very well. I love tutus, in case you hadn't noticed from the blog title. Actually, pretty much anything with tulle will set my heart racing. I also have a deep and abiding affinity for glitter, sequins, sparkles and florals. I'm 18, and in less than 6 months I'm moving to the "big city" for university, and I could not be more excited! Sometimes I write poetry, and sometimes I read books, both of which I would like to share here on this little blog. I'll be stumbling along here for a bit, trying to figure out my voice, my interests and my own personal style...and how to take pictures of it! Perhaps my boyfriend, my friends or my cat will make an appearance too. Je vous remercie de me rendre visite! (Thank you for visiting me!)

Intrinsically Florrie - 0 views

Living in the Midlands of England, I get to live on the edge of the lovely countryside whilst being able to hop on a train to cities such as London, Birmingham and Manchester. I started this blog in July 2009 as a general expression of all things 'me' but I soon found it taking a fashion and style direction. I'm a major art geek and hope to make a career selling my paintings and taking portrait commissions. I'm a little obsessed with hydrangeas, The Phantom of the Opera and Hello Kitty. I adore my cute little guinea pigs: Vuitton and Dior. I'd say icing is my favourite food, accompanied by buttercream and perhaps a little cake, and I have an addiction to collecting craft supplies such as ribbons and sparkly gems. I was a columnist at British Style Bloggers from September 2009 to March 2012 and was an editor of the Links à la Mode for Independent Fashion Bloggers from July 2010 to February 2011. I started Florrie's Art Spot in June 2011 as a separate blogging project on Tumblr.

Lemondrop Vintage - a daybook - 0 views

I buy vintage because I wear vintage. I decided a few years ago to share my treasures on eBay and etsy, including those pieces I made using vintage components like my bracelets and necklaces. I also love to blog about the vintage hunt and score, and show my fashion finds (or my fashion misses, I am not a model or a Parson's Design student). I also love to share great reviews and products that make me happy.

Hey everyone! My name is Charlotta Grönberg. I'm 24 years old, I study social psychology and psychology as my major and minor in communication as well as work part time. I live with my three lovely guinea pigs, Papu, Karkki and Kaneli, and my chihuahua puppy, Lexi.  I am a Swedish-speaking Finn, my mother tongues are Swedish and Finnish. The most important things in life, to me, are a safe and warm home, my pets, my friends and family and I dream about doing what makes me truly happy; helping other people. On this blog I share my personal style, and sometimes share photos of my daily life or talk about what's going on in general. I've been posting fewer recipes lately, but I hope that's about to change as I love food and cooking. Welcome to share bits and pieces of my life with me! Hope you'll enjoy the journey, too! Have a fabulous day! Charlotta

fatale fashion - 1 views

Well, hi! My name is Ariana, and I'm a twenty-something working girl based in northern New Jersey. I started this blog after weeks of ogling through posts from some fabulous "fatshionistas" all over the blogosphere. I was so inspired by these gorgeous and confident women who show the world you don't need to be a size two to look good that I knew I had to join their ranks. I don't know about you,  but working in an office day in and day out can get beyond dull at times. For me, one of the best ways to spice up my day is to wear something that makes me feel confident, sophisticated and sexy, while still keeping office appropriate of course! When I feel good in my clothes, every coffee run or trip to the printer is another strut down the runway in my mind! I hope Fatale Fashion can serve as a source of inspiration to other women like myself who express themselves through their clothes, as well as a resource for bargains all over the web!

My Thrifted Closet - 1 views

  •
Welcome to "My Thrifted Closet." I am SheRea DelSol, but you can call me SheDel. I am a self-proclaimed thriftshionista (Thrift Fashionista.) I hail from the beautiful St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, but I currently live in Winston-Salem, NC where my love of thrifting began. My style has drastically changed since my high school days and most of the clothes in my closet have been replaced by thrifting in mostly Goodwill or MegaThrift (a thrift store indigenous to Winston Salem, North Carolina.) Thrifting has helped to develop my love of vintage clothes (especially the 80's) with their large shoulder pads and puffy sleeves. I also FULLY embrace bright colors and bold prints. For those of you who don't know, thrifting is the act of purchasing items from  stores that sell items that have been donated, with the proceeds from sales usually benefiting charitable efforts (eHow). Thrifting is more than just a hobby, quite frankly it is not. Thrifting is a lifestyle choice, a fashion movement. In that spirit, I have dedicated this blog and my fashion journey to thrifting. This is "My Thrifted Closet" and I hope you too discover the thriftshionista in you.
