My best friend

Hello there! My name is Kara Haupt and I Just Might Explode is my personal blog. In it you'll find a combination of adventures, people who inspire me, school projects, photographs, and confusing DIYS. I live in a tiny apartment in Portland, Oregon with my childhood best friend, Stephanie and our mischievous kitten Pip. Here is a recent family photo… I'm 20 years old. I call myself a blogger, designer, photographer, online shop owner, online art journaling/scrapbooking/photography teacher, etc…  I'm a contributing writer for A Beautiful Mess, an intern at Passionfruit Ads, and online assistant for Indie & Chic. I also pretend to be charming at a retail job a few days a week. Please send me coffee. Back story: I've grew up in Boise, Idaho and then moved to Brooklyn, New York for art school in 2010. You can read about some of those adventures here. I then changed my mind and decided to take off a semester of school and move to Portland, Oregon with my best friend at the beginning of 2012. I'm a firm believer that evolving and changing your mind and following your dreams is the best way to live.  I currently go to an art school for Communication Design. I have an online shop called Stuff Kara Made. I opened it in November 2011 with my first tee shirt line. I make tees, hand-stitched pullovers, and journals.

Bonjour! Je m'appelle Lindsey. I speak French, although not very well. I love tutus, in case you hadn't noticed from the blog title. Actually, pretty much anything with tulle will set my heart racing. I also have a deep and abiding affinity for glitter, sequins, sparkles and florals. I'm 18, and in less than 6 months I'm moving to the "big city" for university, and I could not be more excited! Short 'n' sweet: I recently graduated from college with a degree in Marketing and minor in Photography. I have two supportive parents and a brilliant little sister. I always hate writing the "about me" bits on websites, but I guess it's kind of necessary. My name is Kelsi, you might have already figured that out by now. So, let's see… about me: From 1984-2002 I lived in a small town in Northern California. From 2002-2012 I lived in the beautiful, magical city of Seattle, WA, where I went to cosmetology school and worked as self-employed professional hairstylist for eight years. Now I'm heading to the midwest (Oklahoma City to be precise) to live with one of my best friends for a while and change up my life! I live with my three lovely guinea pigs, Papu, Karkki and Kaneli, and my chihuahua puppy, Lexi.  I am a Swedish-speaking Finn, my mother tongues are Swedish and Finnish. Welcome to my blog, Hopeless Notebook. I started my blog on January 1st, 2012 when I noticed that a friend of mine had started her own blog. Her blog was so adorable and fun, and I knew I could come up with something equally as fantastic, thus Hopeless Notebook was born!      Hopeless Notebook is a lot of things : a fashion blog, a lifestyle blog, a place for pictures, DIYs, inspiration, and everything in-between. Sometimes there will be silly, happy stories, sometimes there will be sad ones, and other times there will be lots of whining, but this blog will always be 100% truthfully me. ♥♥♥      As for me, I'm a college girl trying to make her silly, outlandish dreams come true. I currently live in sunny Florida, but as soon as college is said and done, I'll be packing up with my mister and moving far, far away. We'll be moving to North Carolina where I plan on opening up my own dress boutique, and possibly doing a bit of graphic design work on the side.      My mister's name is Garrett, and we've been together since our freshman year of high school. Thanks for coming to Hairdresser On Fire! My work has been seen a little on TV, a little in magazines and a lot on my friends. I started this blog after getting a little tired of the same cut/blow dry combo I was doing all day-every day at the salon. The blog gives me more creative freedom by answering hair questions, posting beautiful photos and filming tutorials. I've worked in big and small hair salons in NYC for the last 6 years, and this is my way of spreading hair joy in a more fun way. Straight up high school sleep-over style. Tell your hair I say "Hey" and that it should get excited.
