This article discusses the future possibility of taking classroom exams on tablets. Tablet manufacturers are slowly providing the necessary security that would be needed to support this change. As with all advance in technology, there are pros and cons that need to be weighed and considered. There is even mention of a future possibility of BYOTD (bring your own testing device).

Great source for this article. As schools begin to move to more devices like the Tablets, this will definitely impact testing. I enjoyed reading about "locking down the device" as more and more tests are taken online.

In this interview, Bill Gates discusses why he thinks "a low-cost PC" may be a more effective learning aid than a tablet. We're all aware of the obvious business biases here, but as a clearly defined leader in the world of technology, I think Gates presents a valid argument. What good is a tech device of any sort if the curriculum fails to effectively incorporate it as a learning aid?

Lots of talk out there about the technology tools without paying much attention to how it will be used. Good find!

It's the next greatest gadget! I'm concerned about the emphasis once again being placed on the price and the tool itself instead of how it is impacting student learning.
