Joining their Ivy League counterparts Stanford, Princeton and U.C. Berkley, Harvard and M.I.T. announced a $60 million joint venture to provide classes on line for free. However, these public nonprofit institutions will be in direct competition with private for profit companies like Coursera and Udacity who plan to provide not just classes but entire degree programs on line at greatly reduced prices to students worldwide.

This is a great presentation on ways to use different google applications in your classroom. Google provides free applications that are great tools in the classroom. This article gives you real examples of how you can use these tools to fuel learning in your student's daily life.

Technology has been proven successful in the classroom by individualizing learning for students. Technology can help the teacher track the progress of students and free up time to work on other skills (problem solving, critical thinking and social development). Not sure if this has been posted yet (there are more and more articles to comb through), but I thought this was a great article. This article features eleven online programs that can be used in the classroom. I love this list because a few of these resources are ones I can use with my video project! However, I kind of think some of these are "cheating" because not all of them are free :(
