European Commissioner Olli Rehn believes that the strict austerity measures applied in countries like Greece has been successful in reducing the budget deficit.

Rehn does believe however that the high unemployment rates are alarming and that they shouldn't be overconfident with Greece's economic recovery.

Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras has stayed optimistic and stated that they will stay with the euro.

Samaras believes that their recovery will become a success story and other countries will stop questioning Greece's membership in the euro.

    Questions:

1- What should Greece do, stay with the euro or go back to their own currency?

2- Do you think Greece will be able to recover from this huge crisis?

1.) Greece should go back to their own currency. The euro has not been the best engineered currency out there. It has been affiliated with multiple economic break downs in the past as well as in the present. The only problem is the cost of them leaving the euro. Will the other eurpoean governments allow them to?

2.) They probably will if they go back to their own currency. At least with that, they're not relying on other countries. They're not tied down to other's inputs. This would also be possible if they reconstruct their economy and be more firm with the taxes.
