I've been researching the VR entertainment space for a few weeks and I think it's the right time to get into it. I have a location in mind (around 90 sqm), but I'm still unsure about the logistics. What gear is essential for launch? Is there a specific number of VR headsets or players per session that makes the most sense for profitability? And what about game content - do you license it, or is it better to develop your own? Also curious to hear about maintenance and technical challenges.

I launched my own space last year and partnered with battle start https://battlestart.com/ after comparing multiple suppliers. What convinced me was their turnkey package: hardware setup, a catalog of 25+ tested games (including high-engagement ones like VR Dance and Save the Penguins), and responsive tech support. I didn't have to worry about developing games or optimizing session flow - it was all pre-configured. My setup is in a mid-sized mall, and I chose their CLUB format, which gave me space for up to 6 players simultaneously. One key tip: go for their training sessions. I saved so much time just by following their advice on onboarding staff and scheduling. I was operational in under a month, and by month 3, birthday bookings and school groups started rolling in. Their roadmap is solid, and the business model scales easily if you want to grow.
