As the 400-odd petrol pumps and CNG dispensing units in the national capital remains shut Monday in protest against the Delhi government's refusal to reduce VAT on fuels, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal accused the BJP of threatening petrol pump owners to go on strike against the AAP dispensation.

The cost of petrol has been increased by 60 paise per litre and diesel by 50 paise per litre. According to the reports, this is the second increase in a year and 14th hike since January previous year.

At least three persons were injured, two of them seriously, when the fuel tank of an auto-rickshaw exploded while CNG was being filled in it at suburban Malad on Saturday, an official said. The incident took place around 8 am at a petrol pump near Milap Talkies on S V Road in Malad West.
