The Supreme Court has given a week's notice to all the states that haven't filed a report on the incidents of cow vigilantism and lynching. Only 11 out of 29 states and Union territories have filed their reports till now. The states were given 3-weeks notice on July 17, 2018.

देशभर में गाय और धर्म के नाम पर हिंसा थमने का नाम नहीं ले रही है। ताजा मामले में मध्य प्रदेश के 100 से अधिक ग्रामीणों ने 25 लोगों को रस्सी से बांध कर उनकी 2 किलोमीटर दूर पुलिस स्टेशन तक परेड कराई। उन पर गायों को महाराष्ट्र ले जाने का आरोप है। इस दौरान ग्रामीण 'गोमाता की जय' के नारे लगाते रहे। घटना का वीडियो भी सामने आया है और ये सोशल मीडिया पर वायरल हो रहा है।
