Earlier on March 26 Supreme Court agreed to give conditional bail to Sahara Chief Subrata Roy and asked Sahara Group to deposit Rs. 10,000 crore for Subrata's bail but on Thursday Sahara Group presented a fresh proposal before Supreme Court.

Sahara chief Subrata Roy was today seized in Lucknow after the apex court's warrant against him for not present in court in a case connected to his alleged failure to return investors' money.

Yesterday, the Supreme Court on Wednesday forwarded non bailable arrest warrant against Sahara Chief Subrata Roy because he was failed to appear before apex court in link with the case in which his two companies have been ordered to refund Rs 20,000 crore to investors.

Supreme Court sent Sahara chief Subrata Roy in Delhi's judicial custody for a week. According to the reports, the culprit will be kept in high-security Tihar jail where he will sleep on the floor and jail food will be provided to him like an ordinary prisoner.

Sahara Chief Subrata Roy, who is in Tihar jail since March 4, gets conditional bail from Supreme Court but he has been asked by the court to pay Rs. 10,000 crore with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) before his release.
