I worked with these students during the creation of this podcast. Their aptitude and understanding of the medium were demonstrated throughout the process. A good authentic learning experience for them.

Creating quality podcasts requires not only technical understanding, but also excellent interpersonal skills, project management understanding and a sympathy towards the message being communicated. The Kolbe Podcast Crew, under the wise guidance of teachers Trevor Galbraith and Skye Moroney, have done an excellent job in podcasting the "Living the Vision" Catholic Leadership Conference. Through this authentic learning experience they have produced a website that would be worth thousands of dollars in a commercial setting.

"Who doesn't want to write a paper worthy of an A+? Unfortunately, not all medical students are capable to meet the high standards of their professors. Among all assignments they have to complete, there are some that are too overwhelming. If you are facing a tough writing challenge, then you might think any effort would be useless."

A school funded laptop programme initiated by students, parent and passionate teacher Rod Blitvich. 4 weeks in and some great stories, movies, podcasts etc are already being made and shared. As close to personalised technology in the curriculum and relevant 21C learning as the WA state system currently allows.

I know many who homeschool that find one of the difficult parts of homeschooling to be teaching their children how to deal with academic writing.
