This may seem excessive, but I don't think that the definitive textbook has ever been written on parenting. Each of us just has to make calls based on what we think will be in our children's best interest. I don't feel that I really understood much about my own parents until I had kids of my own.
I think you've identified one of her very rare qualities. There aren't too many people I could say this about but I know exactly what you mean. I think it's good that you have this kind of relationship. I think it also is evidence of your own maturity.
I agree. Maybe we should have made more out of this as a school... Maybe it's not too late. I don't know that it would make a big difference to James Cameron but it would send the message to current students that literally anything is achievable.
you do a great job of conveying your enthusiasm for the film. Out of curiosity, have you heard any criticisms of the film? How do you answer its critics?
Without realizing it, you are doing something very good. Writing about your writer's block even can be a great way to break through whatever it is that's blocking you. I've clued in to the common theme between both your journal entries. For your radio play, what about writing about a student who has to get an assignment done but she's experiencing writer's block? She might have a friend who is trying to help her, but classmates, a teacher and a parent who are all getting on her case... What happens if she doesn't get the piece finished?

Try to get in the habit of using capital 'I' all the time. I even take the extra time to do it in my texts so that I don't get into the habit of using lowercase 'I.'
