The newest version of Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, opening on Friday, promises to be different than all the others that have come before. For one thing, it's in 3D. For another, it's directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the master of the Resident Evil franchise, who cast his wife, Milla Jovovich, as Milady, reconfigured into a deadly assassin. And it features sky pirates!

This week at the movies, we've got a vengeful spirit (Paranormal Activity 3, starring Katie-featherston">Katie Featherston and Sprague Grayden), a trio of swashbucklers (The Three Musketeers, starring Logan Lerman and Milla Jovovich), a silly spy (Johnny English Reborn, starring Rowan Atkinson and Gillian Anderson), and some holy hoopsters (The Mighty Macs, starring Carla Gugino and David Boreanaz).
