Mauro Gomez is under consideration of the management of the Boston Red Sox for the replacements of Ortiz. He is very talented player of whom the fans don't know much. The fans of the Red Sox should have a considerable knowledge that Gomez has been affirmed as the Most Valuable Player of the Triple-A International League and he has been up and down throughout the minors mostly due to an injury.

There are lots of question marks regarding the replacement of the Red Sox player David Ortiz who has been suffering serious Achilles injury and his inclusion in the Boston Line up is doubtful due to his long term injury that kept him apart from 35 games of this season.

Boston Red Sox is having a bit tough time by losing its manager Bobby Valentine. Searching for a manger and Terry Francona's name is under review. Chances are low for Terry Francona but still he is favorite for this job. Moreover David Oritz missed out too and replaced by Mauro Gomez. Although Mauro Gomez is a fabulous player yet most of the people are saying that he can't justify the replacement.
