Educational games are a great tool for building foundation math and language skills that today's elementary school curriculum requires. This is a practical tool for ESL/EFL teachers who like working with videos. There are free video quizzes and resources that can be used with students of different levels of proficiency. Students can work on their own, as an assignment, and then send their results to the teacher (who has to be registered to the site to get the student's performance on the quiz). Another option the teacher has is to solve the quiz during class time with students jotting down their answers after watching the video. The teacher, then, checks the anwers with the whole class. There are all kinds of videos, from songs to reality shows and documentaries. I have never used this resource in my classes but I'm considering doing so.
