They have violated copyrights around the world with the library project and John Wiley & Sons trademark and copyrights with the publication of "Newspapering for Dummies" to name but a few areas in which they have flagrantly placed themselves outside obvious law yet there is little backlash. Microsoft gets slammed for attempting to monopolize and Google gets a pat on the back for an approach that, at days end, makes them an overwhelmingly powerful, dare I say, monopolizing force in both the Internet and commerce.

With Google taking an increasingly Big Brother approach, stretching it's tendrils more and more often without regard to rules, shrouded in the familiar "Google is a bunch of nice guys with good intentions", shouldn't we be looking a little more closely at it's business ethics? Shouldn't Google's self serving expansions concern us and warrant closer scrutiny as to bottom line motives and direction?
