This 196-page guide also includes a small sample of NAEP data; an overview of this sample, its design, and implications for analysis. Order the Primer at http://nces.ed.gov/pubsearch/pubsinfo.asp?pubid=2011463.

    * NAEP Training at AERA's 2012 Annual Meeting - April 14.
    Register for Using NAEP Data on the Web for Educational Policy Research. The training session will be held at the American Educational Research Association annual meeting, and costs $95. For more information, go to the AERA website.

    * 2000-2008 NAEP Technical Documentation.
    Read about all technical aspects of the assessment at http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/tdw/.

    * Work With the Online Public-Use NAEP Data. These data tools include links to tutorials and other guides for analyzing NAEP data.

    * NAEP Restricted-Use Datasets through 2009.
    NAEP datasets from 1990 through 2009, and the variables in each, are available for licensed researchers at http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/researchcenter/variablesrudata.asp.
