The article talks about Pedagogy Grammar (PG) and the different programs that teach it to second language learners (SLL) both in Canada and the United States. The two main programs in the article are Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (MATESOL) and Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). The author writes about the differences between the two programs and the similarities. The article is also based on the fact that it analyzed 39 self-reporting questionnaires and 23 course syllabi which provided the information for this article.
