I also read the article which Tim did. http://ehis.ebscohost.com.mantis.csuchico.edu/eds/pdfviewer/pdfviewer?sid=8af00a28-6dcf-45f0-b918-bf88edbe1ecc%40sessionmgr10&vid=8&hid=102

After reading this article i want to look into the ways which grading assist our society; specifically the ways which they help employers hire new employees. Grades don't actually assist in the process of learning - they don't even exist in the process of learning. But, they are important to our system; and, we, being in the system, must cope with them. So, in regards to our 431 class and workshop, here are some questions which arise: (1) How can a teacher, in the midst of a school system, push grades to the side - out of the way? (2) Is it possible to create a school system that can stand without a grading system? (3) How should a teacher react to a student whom is apparently sitting in a class for the reason that he wants to achieve a grade so that he will gain credits at the end of the semester?
