This article is interesting because it makes claims about Generation X (in between "us" and the Baby Boomers) as a generation...He claims that they appreciate freedom, stability, activity, and education. Why do we pick only a few things and try to categorize an entire generation by those standards?

Sichelman claims that generation Y-Americans born between 1978 and 1994 purchase certain things for many reasons, including the "humanity" of their contribution to certain companies, like TOMS. Interesting article on advertising!

sounds like a slippery slope to me

yeah definitely. it can be very successful and make a lot of money but it's hard to know for sure if people will actually want to pay. I guess that's why this is in a trial stage still.
