This website shows off some of the best examples of how typography can be used in web design. My favorite is the Evenglide Showroom image. I love the clean look of the type and the way it fits in perfectly with the image. The text does not take away anything from the image which is a difficult thing to accomplish. I have seen typography detract from images in the past, but this is a wonderful example of it adding to an image.
This website provides some inspiring examples of typography being used effectively in web design. These examples are incredibly useful for anyone interested in designing a website because they show you how to properly utilize typography. Each of these examples chose the perfect type to build there website around and the typography really adds to the overall site.
These are some cool examples of geometric shapes being used in web design. My favorite is the Yuna website. I don't know why, but I have a thing for really simple designs that use basic geometric shapes. I think there's beauty in simplicity.
This website gives a list of great uses of texture in web design. My favorite is the website for Andreas Fretz. This website is for a landscaping company and uses the texture of plants to help the viewer feel like they are in the right place.

I liked this website because it shows how alignment is used in web page layouts which i think would be very helpful in this class and in this digital age
Some more advanced principals of design that can be used to attract readers. This particular page goes over how elements in web page design can be put in balance to create greater (or lesser) impact to an audience.
I think this is a great resource because it caters directly to digital writing in that it is aimed at how balance works and can be achieved in web design. (10/14)

This is a great site for information on the principle of contrast because it organizes the methods of color contrast, size contrast, and alignment contrast. It includes examples for each and is extremely easy to read and comprehend.
