  Digital humanists are arguing that it is time to set our focus on how technology is changing liberal arts. Civil War battlefields are being mapped. Animation, charts and primary documents are being used to teach about Thomas Jefferson in ways never before done. However, it is important to note that in order for this new method of study to work quantification must work hand-in-hand with interpretation. NEH and the NSF have teamed up to create the Digging into Data Challenge, a program to give grants that will give digital humanities a push. This area of study is so new that it continually surprises researchers as it continues to evolve.
