DeSoto County Schools, public schools, have been asked to stop allowing Gideon International to distribute bibles to students on the school campus. Some are saying it's not a violation of the separation between church and state or freedom of religion because any religion should be allowed to do the same. However, the real issue is whether or not it should even be allowed because just as everyone has freedom of religion, they should also have freedom from religion.

The rise of college tuition is in correlation with the amount of debt students leave college with. College has become something of a luxury to some students. This causes less people to buy homes and in turn hurts the economy.

In an attempt to preserve all that they believe is great about a free and just America, Arizona has opened US culture to two words that previously were the exclusive province of Nazi Germany and the communist bloc: "Papers, please."

I defiantly disagree with both of these laws. I don't think it is right that a cop can pull someone over just to make sure they are legal. I also think in order to be allowed to handle a gun people should go through safety classes.

I think there should be a little more added to both these laws. If you want to search someone regardless of race, gender, religion or whatever you should need probable cause. Also I think if you are going to handle any type of weapon you should have some background with weapons handling; maybe off free weapons safety classes at public ranges?

The average american family wastes about 1,200 pounds of food annually. Residents who throw away food will have a "scarlet letter" type notice on their trash can. This red sticker will let others know that this person was throwing away good food. This is a good way to try and stop us from throwing away so much good food.

Technology has come very far, it makes life much easier. People want life to be easier, but we loose sight of the meaning in our lives. It is when things are difficult that we find the things worth living for. This article talks about the 5 ways technology has effected us negatively. Storage is no longer an issue, we save almost everything, and pirating has greatly increased. People no longer carry cash, it is easier to loose sight of what is spent when everything is paid for on a card. Cars are now beginning to do the driving for us. movies are being developed to the point where it is like we are actually in the film and we stop connecting with the actors themselves. Google glasses are meant to replace cellphones but they are majorly unsafe. with all of this technology it is hard to see where we will be in the future.

Widow to Navy Seal Sniper Chris Kyle confronts Obama at a Town Hall conference hosted and televised by CNN. Taya Kyle said that with Obama trying to make a law on sticker background checks for gun control is giving people "false hope", saying that a background check is not going to stop anyone including her from getting a gun.She mentions that there are already "thousands" of gun control laws that are not being enforced and only a fraction of them are being prosecuted.

President Obama talks about how he will make a stand against gun violence making sure background checks are enforced . He mentions that America is dealing with sadness with school shootings and violence across the country wants to change that. Mr. Obama felt it was his duty to stop this act before it gets out of control.

It is time to put and end to illegal immigration. Certain political groups are pushing to grant amnesty to immigrants. In doing so this will weaken our current immigration laws and it will lead to the destruction of our border security and enforcement.

Semantically, it's painfully ironic that factions like this exist considering that America was built upon immigrating to a new land with no prior government, and creating a government that claims all men are created equally.

A federal court of appeals denied Texas from enacting its voting rights law. This case is one of many to cut back on strict voting laws in Texas. Many say the law is discriminatory and then pro voter ID law people say that it has noting to do with minorities or poor people. They say that is all suggested by the people who just do not want the law. Texas has two options and they are to make changes to the previous law or go straight to the supreme court.

WASHINGTON - House Republicans vented their rage against Planned Parenthood on Friday, voting to block all federal financing for the organization, which they accused of profiting from the sale of aborted fetuses for medical research. It was unclear, however, if the vote would mollify conservative lawmakers who have threatened to force a government shutdown over the abortion issue.

For years, we have struggled to stop the flow of illegal immigrants into our country and secure our borders. But in the last few months, this problem has hit crisis mode with more than 50,000 illegal immigrants flooding our southern border, and another 40,000 projected still to come.

What would happen if the United States suddenly stopped building walls and instead flung open its borders, not unlike the European Union has done among the member countries of the common market? Conservatives malign the notion and liberals, even radical ones, haven't exactly embraced the "open borders" concept.
