America has plenty of food in the country to feed all of its people. The amount of food that gets wasted each year is taking away from families in need that could use that food to survive.

This Website "Feeding America" fights hunger by advocating food prevention. This site goes over tragic facts and stories of people that didn't have anything to eat. they also give links in ways that you can help.

This article focus' on a campaign for the Feeding America network, which encourages people to donate to the local food bank. This is during times when there isn't much donations coming through during a specific month.

It is absolutely horrible to hear about the fact that we are dealing with a hunger problem and yet there is tons of food wasted each year.

I think companies should do a better job of labeling expiration dates. Some products say 'use by...' but instead I think it would be a better idea to label food as do not use past this date. It would help diminish food waste nationally.

Solutions to reducing food waste.

I think it's really great that college students are coming up with a way to help reduce food. Giving food to charities would help in having the homeless eat and also not wasting good food.There needs to be more organizations like this worldwide.
