The author explains both sides of circumcision as stated by doctors. She also explains that it is every parent's choice to circumcise or not but it's recently become a controversy. Some parents feel it is taking away their son's personal choice and feel the child's human rights are violated.

A proposal to ban circumcision will be on the San Francisco electoral ballot come November. Circumcision is a religious practice amongst Jews and Muslims making it a violation of the First Amendment.
