Dr. Bob Sears writes about his thoughts on California Bill AB2109 and his fear that Dr.'s will refuse to sign the required form for thier patients vaccination exemption. He feels this way because he says some Dr.'s will force their own feelings about required vaccines on their patients or won't sign because of liability issuse. Those children who are unable to get the required signature will not be admitted to school and it will affect their education.

In California, protesters are fighting to repeal the nation's first law requiring public schools to include prominent gay people and gay rights' milestones in school lessons. Some fear that it would expose young children to "inappropriate" sexual themes, however modern 20th century history often isn't taught until junior year of high school. Proponents of the referendum explain that social studies education covers broad spectrum topics and that those who develop the curriculum would be unlikely to "include the sexual orientation of historical figures unless it is relevant."

Last Wednesday there were 59 cases of measles in California and now this Friday there are 91 cases! This all started about a month or two ago at Disneyland where more than half of the carriers were employees or park-goers. 2 kids recently got the disease and both of them were unvaccinated. Now a parent of a student at the school where measles broke out is saying we should ban unvaccinated kids from going to school.
