The city of Carpinteria is making it almost impossible to smoke anywhere in the city. Passing anti-smoking laws in almost all outdoor locations. Most of the community colleges in both Ventura and Carpinteria city have already banned smoking on the campuses. These is a great topic in my opinion. You hear so many people talk about how they have stop smoking to avoid getting sick in the future. I think its great that smoking is banned from many public places, because like they say second smoke has the same affect as if you where the smoker. I see that more and more people prefer non smoking hotel rooms, bars, restaurants etc its a better choose for are health. And like the article mentions of not hiring smokers.

Anti-tobacco forces are opening a new front in the war against smoking by banning it in private places such as homes and cars when children are present. Starting Jan. 1, Texas will restrict smoking in foster parents' homes at all times and in cars when children are present, says Darrell Azar of the Department of Family and Protective Services.
