#1 laurengoldman on 30 Aug 17This study analyzed National Provider Identifier (NPI) data from 2010 to understand the distribution of APRN's in rural and urban areas of the United States and how practice autonomy contributes to the distribution. The study found that CRNA's were more likely to practice in rural areas in states with greater practice autonomy. There were similar findings for NP's (however these findings had borderline statistical significant).
