This article focused on implementing a crew resource management training for their staff of L&D nurses, OB physicians, anesthesia team, midwives, pediatricians, and technicians and looked at the overall satisfaction of the team members as well as post intervention data. I found the conclusion interesting because the multidisciplinary team found the training satisfying and after 1 year of implementation of the program there was improved learning and there was a positive change in the team and safety climate in the hospital as well as improved stress recognition. It focuses on how to improve patient safety as well as how to deal with accidents related to human error and how to learn from their mistakes. The learning questionnaire summary had a majority of improved responses, so the team was able to learn from each topic covered. I think this is so applicable because teamwork is absolutely necessary in L&D to prevent errors and fatal events.
