    These three articles discuss the history and operations of the first clinic run entirely by primary care nurses - Columbia Advanced Practice Nurse Associates (CAPNA). CAPNA is he first clinic staffed by faculty nurse practitioners from Columbia University. CAPNA was the first establishment that was led by nurse practitioners and where nurse practitioners were reimbursed at the level that was equal to that of primary care physicians.
