This was one of the articles I read while researching for my infographic. It briefly discusses the history of the first ENP's from a graduate program at the University of Texas. It's main focus however is to discuss the utilization of acute care NPs. I found this interesting as it described the training required for these ACNPs to work in the ED. The article also discusses some ways in which the NPs are used in EDs and discusses some expectations that future NPs should be aware of when working in that specific environment, such as EMTALA.
