This is a helpful website that is aligned with common core with vocabulary words that are helpful for all grade levels. Vocabulary, Vocabulary Games - a free resource used in over 24,000 schools to enhance vocabulary mastery & written/verbal skills with Latin & Greek roots.

A place for teachers to visit to find lessons connected to comprehension skills such as author's purpose, compare and contrast, and prediction. You can search by grade level and even alignment to the Common Core Standards. If you are a K-6 teacher that enjoys teaching with picturebooks, then this is worth checking out!

Great website that has thousands of passages for your students. You can seach by lexlie level, by skill/strategy, or by grade. I use these all the time in the classroom to review skills I've already taught. Common Core aligned, teacher & principal endorsed.

Awesomelibrary.org is an excellent website for educators. This website has links for teachers that are organized by subject. The topics vary from subject to subject (i.e. U.S. government or writing). What I liked most about this website is the mini-lessons that are provided for each subject. This is a great tool for reteaching activities in the classroom.

The Awesome Library organizes 33,000 carefully reviewed K-12 education resources for teachers. It contains a directory, an index, and a search engine. This site has valuable resources for teachers, parents, and students. There are activities, lesson plans, games, and additional help for teachers and parents to help their students.

Science for Kids | Grades K - 5 This site has videos, games, and links to other websites over a variety of subjects.

Oh, Twitter. You're so useful for teachers. You connect educators so that they can share tools, tips and tricks, offer insight, and support one another. You bring your sexy social media-ness into the classroom to keep kids interested in what they're learning when they think they're actually (sort of) having fun instead.

Your personal or professional learning network (PLN) is alive and seemingly awake 24-7 when it comes to Twitter. You've probably faced a few scenarios where your real-world obligations got in the way of a hashtag chat, your vacation meant you weren't able to connect as often, etc.
