This article is written by Dr. Campbell, it talks about the importance of integrating Technology into the classroom. She talks about how students love social media and using their phone. Therefore, it is important for a teacher to continuously utilize these tools to further interest and engage the students in the classroom. She also talks about various tools the teachers can use in the classroom to further interest the students in the curriculum. Such tools may include Prezi, Voicethread, Tagxedo, and Museum Box.

I thought this was interesting since last week a lot of our complaints were the budget. I am still searching through the 320 page document, but it seems that our request for technology went down this year from last! Like Dr. K said though, "don't complain about what you can't change!"

Great resource for teachers, parents, and students. It's a search database that categorizes math topic by grade level and it explains concepts in plain step by step terms. This type of website would be awesome for parents that are not math savvy to use to brush up on their math skills or to relearn math concepts while trying to help their children.Great for teachers to refer to as a secondary way to explain a concept beyond their knowledge and the textbook being used.

Research article written by Dr. Sherron Roberts (UCF teacher in elementary education) about how you can enhance poetry writing through technology - since we are doing a poetry unit in my 5th grade class, this is specifically interesting to me.

This is a link to the abstract of an article I found through EBSCO by UCF Associate Professor Dr. Gina Gresham. The study she conducted is about the math anxiety levels of pre-service teachers before and after taking a specialized course on how to teach the subject using tools like manipulatives.
