Jesus began to show his disciples how he must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
for they saw the end of the world. And the world passes away and disappears, and with it the forbidden cravings (the passionate desires, the lust) of it; but he who does the will of God and carries out His purposes in his life abides (remains) forever
Faith in Jesus leads to salvation just like faith in Jesus purifies the heart, but neither is instant; both require persistent seeking of the Lord's teachings and commands, with total obedience over time.
Jesus turned around, and when he saw her, he said, "Daughter, be of good comfort; your faith has made you well." And the woman was made well from that hour.
