Funded by the Administration for Community Living, Administration on Aging of the US Department of Health and Human Services, State Lifespan Respite Programs or Projects are run by a designated state government lead agency, which works in collaboration with a state respite coalition and an Aging and Disability Resource Center. Their purpose is to implement statewide systems of coordinated, community-based respite for family caregivers caring for individuals with special needs of all ages. Thirty states and the District of Columbia have received Lifespan Respite grants from ACL/AoA and they are identified below with their contact information.

Purpose: To clearly state the rules governing the use of social media networks for Public Affairs personnel and to set a standard of response to public inquiries posted on social media sites in use by the U.S. Marine Corps.

"The ADA National Network provides information, guidance and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), tailored to meet the needs of business, government and individuals at local, regional and national levels."

"The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) is a law ensuring services to children with disabilities throughout the nation. IDEA governs how states and public agencies provide early intervention, special education and related services to more than 6.5 million eligible infants, toddlers, children and youth with disabilities. Infants and toddlers with disabilities (birth-2) and their families receive early intervention services under IDEA Part C. Children and youth (ages 3-21) receive special education and related services under IDEA Part B."

The Department on Disability Services (DDS) provides the residents of the District of Columbia with information, oversight and coordination of services for people with disabilities and those who support them, such as service providers and employers. DDS supports the District's Disability Determination Division where Social Security Disability Insurance claims determinations are processed.

The Maryland Division of Rehabilitation Services (DORS) offers programs and services that help people with disabilities go to work or stay independent in their homes and communities
