Brain Pop is a website that our system has purchased for teacher, parent, and student use. It is great for instructional purposes in which you can find various topics of content and show short videos on this skill. There are activities to go along with the videos. Students really enjoy using this website in the classroom to learn and they have a login/password our system provides them to access this at home for extra practice or help with homework. It is diverse in the sense that there are four different brain pop websites: BrainPopJr (K-3 grades), BrainPop(4-8 grades), Spanish version of BrainPop, and one for for BrainPop ESL. Although it does require subscription, there are some free resources on this website and you can view enough to get a feel of what it provides.

Economics Education - 0 views

This is geared more towards middle/high school that my husband recommended. There is a tab for educators, students, and afterschool (home/parent use). Teachers can use this to teach and students can use it to get extra help on various economic topics through videos, interactive activities, etc. And it's free! No subscription needed! :)

Learning through videos in which we know that lots of students enjoy because they learn visually and by hearing. This has very informative videos in which I use often in my own classroom. Some videos even give lesson suggestions and materials. You need a login/password but it is free.

The Department of Education created "Doing What Works" in order to take research based instruction and making it accessible and usable to the teacher. The materials range from helping low performing schools, encouraging girls in math and science, dropout prevention, and implementing Response to Intervention.
