FOSS is a research-based science curriculum from grades K-8 developed at the Lawerence Hall of Science, University of California at Berkeley. The FOSS program materials are designed to meet the challenge of providing meaningful science education for all students in diverse American classrooms and to prepare them for life in the 21st century.

This is a fantastic website that contains many different science experiments that align with state standards.  The projects can be done in both a large and small group setting.  The website shows how young students can use science notebooks to write and draw what they are learning.

A useful website with information for all grades and science activities. Useful for both the classroom and individual science projects.

A website of links for elementary science teachers. I chose to include the site because it has far more websites than I could individually go through and bookmark but the sites could still prove useful for other teachers.

I absoluetly love this website. You have to visit it if you have young children or neices and nephews. Looking for a game to match your school's curriculum? Use our Curriculum Guide to find the right game or activity to meet your classroom or child's needs. The guide is broken up into four areas: Math, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. I actually did this with my 7 year old grandson. We did the detective search to see how "Cole" was eating and helped him pick out nutricious food in the lunch line at school. We were also able to print out a worksheet that shows how many teaspoons of sugar are in your soda drink. We will be doing the test this week. Children will have fun doing the investigation while learning about science adnd healthy snacks.

This website is based on Ohio State Standards but offers great resources in Math, Science, English/Language Arts, and Social Studies. It gives options of instructional, content, professional and assessment resources.

A website full of lesson plans and ideas for later elementary students. Another portion of the site leads to other grade levels for different information. Useful for different experiments and sorted by science subject, ex. chemistry, physics, biology.

An excellent site for teaching science to any elementary grade. A free site but requires signup to utilize all the features.

The easiest way to create a WebQuest with more than 165.4 thousand users. I really like this website as you can create a brand new webquest or adapt and enhance existing webquests. There are some great learning webquests for pre-schoolers. The ones I viewed are "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" for art and music lessons and Science for Preschoolers. They have over 100 templates to use and target every subject. I will definately be using the Webquest now and in the future.

This site contains a variety of software programs that are free downloads for registered schools and classrooms. It also offers a KidsCorner with a wide selection of games, and a number of content specific games. Click on a tab for Preschool, USA, world, animals, vocabulary, languag arts, health, science or math to access the games.

This website offers a wide range of material and lesson plans for grades Pre-K thru 12th grade. It provides a wide variety of subjects including reading, language arts, math, science, special education, technology, and many more. And it is user friendly.
