Tikatok is a great site that allows children to turn their ideas into real, hardcover books. With this application, children (with the help of their parents) can post stories online for friends and others to read, and even print the tale for their bookshelf at home.
Pros: Creat stories from scratch or get some help from the site, stories are stored on the site, read and comment on posted stories, upload/scan in pictures/illustrations
Cons: n/a
What a great site to use for reading novels, prewriting a narrative writing piece or outlining history. I think students would enjoy this and it would really help to organize their ideas.
This could be fun with irony. Students could spoof a novel or historical event. You can build your own character with a body, arms, legs, etc.
Don't see anything harmful in the posting. Obviously, you are limited by the designer's characterizations.
looks interesting, extremely easy to register.
Dont see a benefit to educational angle

Great site for creating comics, but content is a tad racey. One good thing was that this site closed the comic when it became inappropriate for viewing for certain age groups
