This website has TONS of free books that students can read online. I kept trying a bunch to see if I could find a book that wasn't on it...I couldn't!
I would suggest using this in your classroom as a tip for students in case they have forgotten their copy of the book at school, etc.
This blog is AWESOME! It relates to all level of educators, includes tips on classroom uses with technology, has news from all over the globe related to technology and education, and even has how-to posts. I find myself reading it daily now and even back-reading. A must read!
This is a very inspirational video about a woman named Sara Pyszka who has Cerebral Palsy and uses a DynaVox to communicate. She has been able to sing using her DynaVox and also attend college!
This is a youtube video that someone created for a special education course. It provides an overview of some of the key terms of assistive technology and examples of some of the technology available.
This is an excellent site providing interactive text in a variety of subjects. I only checked out social studies, but there are various sections on math and science (some even in Spanish). Lessons are interactive and contain relevant images and great multimedia presentations. I highly recommend it.
Another cool thing about this site is that a teacher can set up an account and provide a custom HippoCampus page for his/her students. This can be helpful for all students, regardless of their abilities.
