Digital CMI Insights: Monosodium glutamate is emerging as popular food ingredient found... - 0 views

  •
Monosodium glutamate, usually known as sodium glutamate, is a salty solution of glutamic acid. It's most commonly known as "mono-sodium glutamate" or "monosodiumglutamate," and it's a prominent ingredient in popcorn, pretzels, cookies, cakes, ice cream, sherbets, and smoothies. It's an amino acid from the amide family. It has a variety of industrial applications and is commonly used as an artificial sweetener. Although monosodium glutamate is commonly used as a taste enhancer and food spice, it can have dangerous negative effects if consumed in excess. Glutamates are also employed in flavourings to give meals their distinct taste experiences.
