      It's important to give each student their own, or else it risks that the tablets do not preform as well as intended.  
  • The battery life made the iPad an easy choice for Avery Middle School, Wells said. Even with a 6-cell battery, a netbook would only last four hours. And that's not long enough in a 6 1/2- or 7-hour school day. The iPad advertised a 10-hour video viewing battery life, and that has proved true.

      The battery lasts long enough that they can be used all day and charged all night.  But the article does not take into account that when the tablets are used constantly the battery drains quicker.
