Awesome graphic! I agree with all the content here. I think being able to have a space like the PLN for a teacher is efficient for just about everything. Especially in regard to inspiration. Inspiration can be accomplished so quickly within PLNs. Thanks for this awesome share!

(pp.36-41) This paper discusses that personal learning communities should be centered around informal learning. The central thesis of the Personal Learning Communities is to provide an environment that allows re-configuration and sharing of learning. This paper specifically reviews how we use technology for education, work-place learning, peripheral participation, distributed communities, and informal learning. This paper was neatly structured and quite relatable to the current zeitgeist in regards to the increasing mobile culture.

This paper discusses how Personal Learning communities are created from the use of multiple platforms. Universal technology learning is important because it is continuous and it is vital to keep on producing new forms of learning. I liked the depth of this paper and appreciated the expansion on highlights of informal learning, life-long learning, different learning styles, new approaches to assessment, changing technologies, reformed ways we learn, and what a PLE or PLC looks like. I like how the discussion is focused around using an array of technologies and its limitless potential.

This paper discusses connectivism as a learning theory for the Digital Age. The authors break down connectivism as a learning theory, as well as the differences between learning theory and instructional theory, and why connectivism. This paper defines connectivism as an actionable knowledge, and it is important to understand where to find the knowledge. This paper also overviews how the individual has no control within connectivism. I think this is interesting philosophy, this absolutely applies to social platforms like instagram.

The purpose of this article is to explore and introduce the three reservoirs of connectivism: online classrooms, social networks, and virtual reality. This article explores a plethora of modern empirical studies and also provides neat infographics. I like the way this paper is structured for the reader to understand how 21st century learning is played out through real-world, contemporary examples.

This artifact discusses communities of practice as knowledge management. It essentially unpacks the core aspects of a team and how this relates to successful CoPs. This document is important because it organizes team cohesion as the priority. I like how knowledge is being treated as a company asset, which is progressive thinking to say the least. This perspective is only going to bring more success to any CoP.

This paper umbrellas CoP into three characteristics: a practice, an identity, and a joint enterprise. After the paper defines community of practice, it is then organized into four brief "scenarios." The four scenarios are: division financial controllers, application development groups, executive assistants, and the officers. Within these scenarios, the authors provide questions that allow for more familiarity with CoP concepts. Through these scenarios, the reader is able to grasp the inner-works of CoP.

This paper discusses Communities of Practice as the Organizational Frontier. This paper explores how CoPs help drive strategy, start new lines of business, solve issues fast, produce professional qualities, best practices, and to assist in bringing and retaining employees. Community of Practice is also evaluated in a snapshot chart analyzing the DNA of formal work group, project team, and informal network together. Four questions are posed to contrast these four elements: what the purpose is? Who belongs? What holds it together? And how long does it last? Overall, this paper was highly informative and full of nice visuals. I also loved the contrasting elements, it heped put the whole picture into perspective.
