Creates an interactive and fun environment for students to explore that uses many different mediums to teach about different aspects of something. Beginner students can take a photo of anything and can use thinglink to label the photo with vocabulary words. More advanced students can use a photo of a cultural celebration and enhance it with video, explanations, audio, etc. Interactive and interesting way to teach about certain cultural events.

Showbie for language teachers - 0 views

Probably the most useful tool in a low-paper (or paperless) modern language class. Showbie is principally a paperless inbox for students to turn in work. Teachers can correct the work directly in the app and can write directly on the student's work which is a necessity when correcting spelling, grammar, accents, etc. The most useful function of Showbie for language classrooms, however, is the audio upload and recording function. Teachers can upload an audio file that students listen to directly in showbie. Then they can record their own audio in response. Teachers can then listen to and assess the student's audio recording and attach a rubric for clear and easy assessment.
